FUNCTION OF THE VACUOLE

                                              FUNCTION OF THE VACUOLE
The vacuoles function is to keep the bad things that may harm the cell out of the cell because bad waste can harm it. It also is like a storage space for the cell, It stores food, water, and waste, and a lot of other things needed by the cell. It also is the protector of the cell.

Structure of the vacuole

                                                  STRUCTURE OF THE VACUOLE
The structure of the vacuole is pretty simple there is a membrane that surrounds a mass of fluid it floats in a smooth chloroplast. In that fluid are nutrients, or waste products. It also is the storage space of the cell it holds water, waste and food. It also protects the cell from things that may harm the cell such as waste products. Some people use the term the vacuole is the "garbage can" which is partially true, I know you think lysosomes are the clean up group and they are, but in the plant cell they actually do act like lysosomes.
